Parents are able to apply for five schools. Encouraging parents to use all five preferences will help us to allocate places efficiently. Parents should be strongly advised to apply for five different Schools. It is also important that they are aware of the following:

• Listing the same school multiple times or applying for just one Community School does not give them a better chance of obtaining a place at that school.
• There is no guarantee of a place in their catchment area school
• They should put their preferences in the order that they want to receive an offer

ON LINE APPLICATION SERVICE

The on line application service will be available from MONDAY, 24^th September 2018 which will be available at www.cardiff.gov.uk/schooladmissions. We will not be providing paper forms until the after the initial round has closed on Monday 19^th of November 2018. Parents can visit their local Hub to access the online portal or to ask questions. Paper application forms will be available for any applications after the initial round.
