Leader of Achievement and Inclusion / ALNCo
I have worked at Roath Park Primary Since September 2016 as the Leader of our fantastic Achievement and Inclusion Team. I absolutely love my job, and working closely with the pupils and families we have in our school.
My role is to co-ordinate the support and provision for all pupils identified as having additional learning needs across the school. I manage the allocation of support staff across the school, liaise with professionals and parents/carers and track the progress of interventions and support put in place. I also provide professional support to staff to enable early identification of learners with additional learning needs, and I work with the Strategic Leadership team to develop and implement appropriate procedures. There are big changes happening in the world of ALN (additional learning needs) and we as a school are working hard to adapt and amend our practice in line with the New Code.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and Daughter (and the dog!).
