Please feel free to contact me should you need to.

Mrs Burnett, Mr Newbury, Mrs Revell and Mrs Awan want to thank everybody for all their kind words and gifts.   We are completely overwhelmed.   It  has been a joy and a privilege to teach your children this year.   We wish you all a very happy summer holiday - relax, enjoy and see you all in September!

PE GAMES

Games, outdoor kit will be required on a Wednesday. This should be a change of clothes with trainers or daps for outside, as the weather gets colder a hoodie or sweatshirt will be required.

PE for 3N will be on a Thursday morning, and for 3B on a Monday morning this will be in the hall and the children will be barefoot so need no footwear, just an indoor kit.

Water Bottles

It would be really useful for children to have re-usable water bottles in class that they can refill each day.   We have water fountains with fresh water and want to promote drinking plenty of water to remain hydrated and also to promote less plastic waste.   We will ensure the children bring them home regularly to enable a good wash to take place!

Reading

We have given the children reading books and diaries and would ask that you spend at least 10 minutes reading with your child every day.

Spelling

Children will be given spellings to learn for each Friday.  We support learning of spelling in school but the children do need to learn these at home as it is a homework task.   It is better to spend some time each day learning them rather than just the night before the test.   Thank you for your help with this.

Please find this week's spellings below.

RM Easimaths - online maths practice

Children will be given reminders of their log ins for this next week.   We will show the children what levels they are on and will remind them of how to log on.   This is then something they can do independently at home.   We really feel this benefits the children and have seen excellent results when used regularly.

GIGLETS - online reading and comprehension practice

Children can now log on to their Giglet accounts please use this valuable resource to assist them with reading and to simply develop a love of reading.   This will not replace books but will work alongside to give a greater choice.

Topic

Our topic and science work will be based on the World of Water.   We will looking at different water habitats including salt water and fresh water.   We hope to visit Cosmeston and the Beach later in the term to support with this topic.
