Year 3

Welcome to Year 3.

 .

Mrs Burnett and Miss Phillips are excited to begin this year teaching your children.   We are looking forward to teaching exciting topics and enabling your children to learn in the best way possible.      Please feel free to speak to us with any questions or concerns you have, we will always collect your children in the morning and will see them out at the end of the day.

Water Bottles

Please can the children bring in refillable water bottles to allow them to drink water freely throughout the day.

PE is on a Wednesday

Games is on a Thursday

Whilst these are our allocated times for use of these areas, it would be useful to have a kit for both sessions in school at all times as sometimes we may have to miss our slot due to another activity and will try to find a vacant slot at another time.

KIT

Your child will need shorts and or joggers, a t-shirt and suitable trainers or daps.   It would be useful if they have a warmer top for outdoors as the weather changes, though they could just use their school jumper.  We can ensure these are sent home at the end of each half term so that they can be washed.   This will save having to remember to bring them each week!

Our Topic this term is entitled...

Whose Land is it Anyway?

The initial topic plan is below.  This was created by the children as a start to the topic and what they would like to find out, it is in their words.   This will be added to as the children learn more and want to explore different aspects.

We will look at the Celts and the Romans but also be bringing it up to date and looking at countries and borders and the rights of people.
